Liberty
Harbor North
is one of the largest undeveloped parcels of contiguous
property along the Hudson River, located at the entrance
to the upper Bay of New York Harbor. It is presently primarily
a brownfield, also housing a scrap metal yard, a restaurant,
a marina, and a yacht club. The site qualified as a viable
location for a new residential neighborhood because of its
visual and transportation connection to New York City –
the PATH commute is five minutes to Wall Street, ten minutes
to Midtown. The site is also on the water taxi route to
downtown Manhattan. |
